Regions :: Western Europe :: U.K. Total Shelves Divestment of U.K. Refinery1:36 PM MST | January 25, 2012 | Ian Young Total has shelved plans to divest a refinery in the U.K. after failing to find a buyer for the plant. Patrick Pouyanné, head of Total's refinery and chemicals business, confirmed the decision to keep the Lindsey Oil Refinery in remarks to French newspaper Les Echos this week. "Given the lack of offers, we will maintain the Lindsey refinery in our refining system," Pouyanné told Les Echos. "Our priority will be the improvement of the refinery's performance."
