Sirius signs potash offtake deal with US company

Sirius Minerals said today that it signed a take or pay deal with a US company for the offtake of at least 500,000 m.t./year of polyhalite from its York, UK, potash project. The deal is for an initial period of five years with a possible renewal for a further five years for sales in North America and certain countries in Africa, Southeast Asia, and Central America. Sirius has not identified the company but says that it is a Fortune 500 US based agribusiness. The latest deal brings the total tonnage now under contract from the project to 4.8 million m.t./year...
