Sabic to Close ABS Facility in the U.K.

Sabic Innovative Plastics, a Sabic subsidiary, says it will permanently close an acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) plant at Grangemouth, U.K. with the loss of 95 jobs. The closure will be effective on July 31. The Grangemouth ABS plant has a capacity of 50,000 m.t./year, says SRI Consulting (Menlo Park, CA).
