Regions :: Western Europe :: U.K. Oxis Energy and GP Batteries to commercialize breakthrough Li-S battery systems12:46 PM MST | January 30, 2013 | Natasha Alperowicz Oxis Energy (Abingdon, UK) and GP Batteries International (Singapore) today announced a joint manufacturing agreement to accelerate the commercialization of Oxis’s proprietary lithium sulfur (Li-S) battery systems for use in different energy sectors. GP Batteries (Hong Kong) is a major manufacturer of primary and rechargeable batteries with more than a dozen manufacturing plants in China, Taiwan, and Malaysia. Oxis says it will benefit from the GP Batteries' worldwide presence in developing sales of its Li-S polymer battery systems into the defence...
