Origin Enterprises Buys U.K. Fertilizer Company

Fertilizer producer Origin Enterprises (Dublin) has agreed to acquire CM Fertilisers, the fertilizer activities of Carrs Milling Industries (Carlisle, U.K). Origin has agreed to pay £19 million ($31 million), plus the working capital related debt at the completion of the deal, which is estimated at £5.9 million. CM Fertilisers blends raw fertilizer materials into finished product, which it then sells to merchants, agents, and directly to farmers.
