Lonza to Expand U.K. Facility

Lonza says it will invest £16 million ($26 million) to expand its biopharmaceutical manufacturing facility at Slough, U.K., in order to respond to a broader range of customer projects and strengthen its global network of biologics development and manufacturing. The expansion project is expected to be completed by the end of 2012. The Slough site develops and manufactures antibodies and therapeutic proteins used in the clinical stages of drug development and ongoing commercial supply of marketed biopharmaceutical products.
