Lonza and Novartis Jointly to Develop and Manufacture Biologics Products

Lonza says it has entered into a long-term strategic partnership with Novartis for the joint development and manufacture of Novartis's biologics pipeline. R&D activities over the past few years have resulted in a sharp increase in the number of biological compounds, currently accounting for about a quarter of the Novartis development portfolio, Novartis says.
