Ineos, Solvay sign agreement for chlorvinyls JV, to be named Inovyn

Ineos and Solvay say that they have signed a definitive agreement to create their previously announced chlorvinyls joint venture, and that they will name the jv Inovyn. The jv is expected to be effective by year-end following divestments required by the European Commission. The commission, in May 2014, approved the proposed merger of the European chlorvinyls businesses of Ineos and Solvay, subject to the divestment by Ineos of suspension polyvinyl chloride (S-PVC) assets in France, Germany, and the Netherlands; ethylene dichloride (EDC) plants in Belgium and the...
