Haldor Topsøe buys stake in UK-based battery technology firm

Haldor Topsøe (Lyngby, Denmark) says it has recently acquired an 18% stake in battery technology company Faradion (Sheffield, UK). Financial details of the deal were not disclosed. Topsøe, as part of the investment, will collaborate with Faradion to further co-develop and scale up key parts of the company’s sodium-ion technology. The investment also provides Topsøe the right to manufacture and sell cathode materials for sodium-ion batteries under license from Faradion.
