GSK to Build Its First Pharmaceutical Plant in U.K. for 40 Years

GlaxoSmithKline has confirmed plans outlined first in November 2010 that it will invest more than £500 million ($790 million) in R&D and manufacturing in the U.K. From the £500 million, GSK will invest £350 million to build a new biopharmaceutical manufacturing facility at its site at Ulverston, U.K. It will be GSK’s first new manufacturing site in the U.K. for 40 years.
