Food Firms Voice Concern Over Recycled Cardboard Packaging

Health concerns are causing leading food manufacturers to change their packaging away from recycled cardboard, the BBC reports. The concerns are over mineral oils which are found in printing inks of newspapers, the main constituent of recycled cardboard. Cereal firm Jordans has already stopped using recycled cardboard and other firms, including Kellogg's and Weetabix, are taking steps to reduce the amount of mineral oil in their packaging, the report says.
