Fire Rips Through Whyte Group's Hazardous Chemicals Plant in the U.K.

A fire has caused extensive damage at the Linthwaite, U.K. manufacturing facilities of Grosvenor Chemicals, a subsidiary of Whyte Group (London), following an explosion during the early hours of this morning. The cause of the blaze has not yet been established.   The company custom manufactures pesticides, pharmaceutical intermediates, and solvents at the site which occupies six acres.
