Eastman to Exit Vitamin E TPGS Business

Eastman Chemical says it will close its Peboc, U.K. manufacturing plant and will halt production of its Vitamin E TPGS at the site. The plant is “no longer being strategic for Eastman,” and the decision to close the facility follows a consultation period with site employees that began earlier this year, Eastman says. The company says it expects to close the site later this year. Eastman says it will transition supply inventory to customers based on historical purchases. TPGS is used in several applications, including use as a pharmaceutical excipient...
