Caldic Acquires U.K. Distributor

Caldic (Rotterdam), a producer and distributor of chemicals, has acquired chemical distributor Omnichem (Dewsbury, U.K.). Financial terms were not disclosed. Omnichem distributes a range of chemicals including acids and lyes to a large number of industries in the U.K. Caldic's existing distribution activities in the U.K. focus on solvents and specialty chemicals, including food ingredients.
