Brenntag Acquires U.K.-Based Specialties Distributor

Brenntag has acquired Multisol Group Ltd. (Nantwich, U.K.), the holding company of the Multisol Group, a distributor of specialty chemicals, from Multisol's management and other shareholders. Terms of the deal were not disclosed but "the final purchase price will vary depending on the level of working capital as per the completion accounts," Brenntag says. The deal is expected to close in November 2011, subject to relevant approvals. Multisol specializes in the distribution of lubricant additives, base oils, and specialty solvents in Europe and Africa...
