Arkema to cease coating resins production at UK site

Arkema will cease production at its coating resins production unit at Stallingborough, UK, the company confirmed today. The plant was formerly part of Cray Valley, a Total subsidiary. The plans affect the majority of permanent staff at the site, and Arkema will begin formal consultations with trade unions and employee representatives on 9 May, the company says. The shutdown will likely result in the loss of 58 jobs, Arkema adds. The site's production will be relocated to France, a local media report says.
