Tyco Closes ChemGuard Acquisition

Tyco International (Schaffhausen, Switzerland) says it has completed its previously announced acquisition of Chemguard (Mansfield, TX), a privately-owned producer of fire suppressants and specialty chemicals. The $130 million deal  will enhance Tyco's firefighting foam portfolio and expands its presence in high-growth markets, including Mideast, Latin America and Asia Pacific, the company says.
