Syngenta and Makhteshim Ink Fungicide Supply Deal

Syngenta says it has entered into a long term agreement to supply Makhteshim Agan (Tel Aviv) with azoxystrobin, the best selling broad spectrum fungicide developed by Syngenta. Patent on the active ingredient is due expire progressively between 2010-2014. Financial terms were not disclosed. Syngenta will supply Makhteshim with undisclosed quantites of azoxystrobin, a member of the strobilurin family, under the terms of the deal.
