Syngenta Reports 21% Third-Quarter Sales Jump

Syngenta reported third-quarter sales up 21%, to $1.7 billion, driven by strong growth in Latin America. Sales from the company's crop protection business rose 16%, to $1.4 billion. The company cites a "strong market" in Latin America, primarily in Argentina and Brazil. Syngenta's seeds business reported sales up 23%, to $283 million led by growth in corn and soybean products in Latin America. The company does not report net income for the quarter.
