Syngenta Bidding to Acquire Devgen for €403 Million...

Syngenta desperate attempts to boost up the sales is good ( acquisition of Pasteuria & now for Devgen ) , but investors should be mindful of the facts that syngenta already has so many products in its portfolio for which they have not LIBERATED the potential ( for example - AVICTA , the nematode control product, INVINSA the abiotic stress tolerant product), HYBRID rice germplasm , HIGH OLIEC SUNFLOWER ...VIP cotton , even the products like ABAMECTIN which has great potential has remained in the BACK BURNER , the way in which DUPONT , BAYER liberates the product potential of their AVAUNT, IMIDACLOPRID .. syngenta has largely failed in TMX , EMAMECTIN BENZOATE... I would not be very bullish about the news , syngenta makes about acquisition , unless those acquisitions really pays ... Syngenta acquired FAFRAD ( lawn n garden segment) which they have decided to sell off , of late . company is certainly lacking the EXECUTIONAL LEADERSHIP.
