Sika's Strong Presence in the Americas Drives Sales Increase

Sika (Baar, Switzerland) says sales in first-quarter 2012 increased by 3.1%, to SF1.05 billion ($1.15 billion) compared with SF1.02 in the same period of the previous year. Sika says that the main reason for the increase was the company's strong performance in the Americas, where Sika increased its market share and maintained its growth level. The strength of the Swiss currency shaved 5.2% off Sika's sales growth, compared with sales in local currencies, Sika says.
