Sika acquires structural fibers manufacturer in Australia

Sika (Baar, Switzerland) says it has acquired Radmix Resources (Carabooda, Australia) and its manufacturing partner Australian Synthetic Fibres (ASF). Financial details of the deal were not disclosed. Radmix is the leading supplier of structural fibers for shotcrete in Australia’s mining industry, Sika says. Radmix and ASF generated total sales of 8 million Swiss francs ($8.5 million) in 2012. The acquisition of Radmix and ASF will allow Sika to expand its strong position in the mining sector, Sika says.
