Sika acquires manufacturers of waterproofing membranes in Mexico and India

Sika (Baar, Switzerland) says it will acquire JMTexsa (Naucalpán, Mexico) and Texsa India (Gurgaon, India)—two leading manufacturers of waterproofing membranes—and Sika has signed an agreement for the acquisitions with the French industrial group Soprema. Financial details of the deal have not been disclosed. The companies being acquired generated total sales of 23 million Swiss francs ($24 million) in 2012 and employ a total of 100 people.
