Roche to invest $209 million to build ADC facility

Roche (Basel, Switzerland) says it will invest 190 million Swiss francs ($209 million) in the construction of a new production facility at Basel, which will support the manufacturing of antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) medicines. ADCs offer a new treatment method for cancer in which cancer cells are destroyed in a more targeted way, and healthy cells are less affected. The investment at Basel is expected to create 50 jobs.
