Messer, Lonza Form Gases Agreement

Messer says it has agreed to build a €20-million ($27.6 million) air separation plant at Lonza’s Visp, Switzerland site. Messer’s plant will produce argon, nitrogen, and oxygen for Lonza and for the Swiss and Italian merchant markets. It will also produce medical oxygen for the hospital and home care sectors. Lonza will be responsible for operations and logistics on behalf of the Messer unit.
