Italian Firm to Acquire DSM’s Plasticizers

Polynt (Scanzorosciate, Italy) has agreed to acquire DSM’s Uraplast polymeric plasticizer resins business for an undisclosed amount. Uraplast, currently part of DSM Composite Resins (Schaffhausen, Switzerland), is a leading supplier of plasticizer resins to the polyvinyl chloride, elastomers, adhesives, and coatings industries. DSM Composite Resins plans to focus on unsaturated polyester resins, in which it is European market leader, and sizings and binders, in which it is global market leader.
