Regions :: Western Europe :: Switzerland Givaudan Plans Flavors Plant In Hungary, Closes U.K. Site2:48 PM MDT | September 1, 2010 | Nancy Seewald Givaudan says it will invest SF170 million ($165.4 million) to build a savory flavors production facility at Mako, Hungary in order to supply the “fast growing” markets of Eastern Europe. The new plant will employ about 280 workers when it starts up in 2013. In related moves, Givaudan plans to close its Romborough, U.K. flavors plant in 2012, and transfer power blending activities at its Kemptthal, Switzerland site to Mako.
