EMS reports higher sales and earnings, buys partner out of Mexican automotive JV

EMS Group (Domat/Ems, Switzerland) on Friday reported its six months results covering January–June. Net operating income was up 17.5%, to 215 million Swiss francs ($241.3 million), on 5% higher sales of SF999 million. Ebitda was 15% higher, at SF242 million, and Ebitda margin advanced from 22.0% to 24.2%. The company says it was able to expand its business, particularly in the automotive industry with numerous new applications using its high-performance polymers.   At the beginning of July, EMS bought its partner out of Grupo Plascosa Eftec in Mexico...
