EMS Group records 7.3% increase in first-quarter sales

EMS Group's (Herrliberg, Switzerland) first-quarter net sales were 497 million Swiss francs ($565.8 million), 7.3% higher compared with the same quarter in 2013, according to figures published today. The company's net sales in local currency terms were up 11.8% year-on-year. The company says that net operating income was also up but has not provided figures. Net sales of high-performance polymers, which represent more than 86% of total revenue, were up about 9%, to SF429 million.
