DuPont sells nonwovens business to Swiss company

DuPont’s protection technologies segment announced today that Jacob Holm & Sønner Holding (Jacob Holm; Basel, Switzerland), a manufacturer of spunlaced nonwoven fabrics, will acquire DuPont’s Sontara-brand global nonwovens business. A definitive agreement was signed today. The business produces products used in a variety of medical and wipes applications.
