Cytos Biotech appoints new CEO

Cytos Biotech (Schlieren, Switzerland), announced the appoitment of Christian Itin as its new CEO. Itin will succeed Thomas Hecht as chaiman of Cytos' board of directors effective this November, the company says. The succession will take place in a special meeting of the shareholders, the company says.   Itin was the president and CEO of Micromet (Bethesda, MD), a biopharmaceutical company, from 2004 to March 2012 when the company was acquired by Amgen (Thousand Oaks, CA).
