Cost Pressure Affects Dottikon’s Half-Year Results

Contract fine chemicals manufacturer Dottikon Exclusive Synthesis (Dottikon, Switzerland) says that its net income decreased 2.1%, to $5.5 million, in its fiscal first half, ended September 30. Sales increased by just under 1%, to about $55 million. Dottikon says the dip in financial performance was caused by a more material-intensive product mix and the hiring of additional staff.
