Clariant Cuts More Jobs

Clariant says a cost reduction effort will result in the loss of 570 jobs, about 3% of its workforce, primarily through plant closures. The restructuring will cost about SF150 million ($149 million), which will be booked mostly in 2009 and 2010, Clariant says. The job cuts are in addition to the more than 2,000 cuts the company had announced earlier this year.
