BASF to Sell Its Schaffhausen Site and Conica Sports Surfaces Business

BASF says it plans to divest its Schaffhausen site in Switzerland along with its Conica Sports Surfaces business. Production or production-related services for other product lines, currently located at BASF's Schaffhausen site will be transferred to another location, the company says. BASF acquired the business in 2006 as a part of Degussa's construction chemicals activities takeover. BASF employs 150 staff at Schaffhausen of which less than half are employed at Conica.
