Givaudan's first-quarter revenue up almost 3%

Givaudan reports sales of 1.09 billion Swiss francs ($1.67 billion) during the first quarter of 2013, an increase of 2.7% on the same quarter the year before, the company announced today. The flavor division, which represents over half of the sales, generated SF571.8 million, up 1.9% from the first quarter in 2012, and the fragrance division grew by 3.6% during the same period.
