Pfizer Opens Biotech Plant in Sweden

Pfizer says it has opened a previously announced new facility for biotechnological pharmaceutical production at Strangnas, Sweden. Pfizer expects the plant, which was built with an investment of about €150 million ($213 million), to further strengthen its capacities in the rapidly growing biotech sector. The plant is Sweden’s largest site for the production of biotechnological pharmaceuticals, Pfizer says. “Biologics hold tremendous promise in changing the way patients are treated and diseases prevented,” says Rory O’Connor...
