Perstorp acquires penta and calcium formate businesses from Slovakian firm Chemko

Perstorp (Perstorp, Sweden) says that it has signed an agreement to acquire the pentaerythritol and calcium formate businesses, related technology and certain assets from chemicals producer Chemko (Bratislava, Slovakia). The deal does not include the manufacturing plant at Strážske, Slovakia, or employees, Perstorp says. Financial details of the deal have not been disclosed. The transaction is part of Perstorp’s plan to increase polyol capacity, the company says. The polyalcohol Penta is used in applications such as alkyd resins, polyvinyl chloride...
