Sabic Signs Carbon Fiber Technology Deal with Montefibre

Sabic announced today that it has signed a technology agreement with Montefibre (Milan) granting Sabic and its affiliates an “extensive international licence” for Montefibre’s carbon fiber technology. Sabic will first use the technology in a new 3,000 m.t./year plus carbon fiber plant to be built in Saudi Arabia and will enable Sabic to serve the growing demand for carbon fiber and composites in fast-growing markets of alternative energy, transportation and infrastructure.
