Regions :: Western Europe :: Spain Sabic Opens Polyetherimide Plant in Spain9:26 AM MDT | September 23, 2010 | Kerri Walsh Sabic Innovative Plastics has opened its second polyetherimide (PEI) resin plant at Cartagena, Spain. The $300-million plant represents a 35% increase in Sabic's PEI capacity, the company says. The plant will "provide customers with higher supply dependability," Sabic says. The company does not disclose its PEI capacity. The PEI plant can also produce polyimide resins and specialty intermediates including anhydrides, Sabic says.
