SGL Group to Acquire Portuguese Acrylic Fibers Maker Fisipe

SGL Group (Wiesbaden), a leading producer of carbon-based products, including carbon fibers, has signed an agreement to acquire an 86% stake in the listed Portuguese company Fibras Sinteticas de Portugal (Fisipe) from the principal shareholder Negofor. A mandatory public offer will be submitted to the Portuguese securities commission for the remaining shares in Fisipe, an acrylic fibers producer.
