DSM to Buy Natural Carotenoids Producer

DSM has signed an agreement with P&R Group to acquire Vitatene (León, Spain), a producer of natural carotenoids. The acquisition will strengthen the natural carotenoids offering of DSM’s nutrition business, as consumer demand for natural products grows, the company says. The transaction is expected to close by the end of this quarter. Financial terms were not disclosed.
