Regions :: Western Europe :: Spain Cepsa to Acquire PET Plant from La Seda8:59 AM MST | November 19, 2010 | Ian Young La Seda de Barcelona says it has agreed to sell its polyethylene terephthalate (PET) plant at San Roque, Spain to Cepsa Química (Madrid) for an undisclosed amount. The deal is expected to close "within a few weeks," La Seda says. The San Roque plant has capacity for 175,000 m.t./year of PET and was offstream several times this year due to poor demand. La Seda says that the plant is expected to be operational again in early 2011. The deal marks Cepsa Química's entry into the PET market. The company operates a purified terephthalic acid...
