Six producers establish consortium to seek authorization of sodium dichromate under Reach

Six sodium chlorate manufacturers have established a consortium to seek authorization under Europe's Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation, and Restriction of Chemicals (Reach) regulation for the use of sodium dichromate as a processing aid in the sodium chlorate process. The founding members of the consortium are AkzoNobel, Arkema, Ercros (Barcelona), Electroquímica de Hernani (Donostia, Spain), Kemira, and Solvay.
