The efficient and cost-cutting technology is designed to keep temperatures in solar energy collectors under control, the partners say. Heat collectors are typically made from expensive and heavy metals and glass, Sabic says. The new technology, based on Sabic's Lexan polycarbonate sheet, uses an “optical switch” by creating a prismatic structure of the thermoplastic panels so that sunlight can be reflected...
