Construction began this year and salt production is due to start by year-end. Nylon salt is made from adipic acid and hexamethylenediamine, which Invista produces at other locations. Nylon salt made at Rozenburg will be polymerized at the site to make nylon polymer, which is used in fiber and plastic applications, as well as to make engineering plastics.
