Indorama to Expand PTA Capacity at Rotterdam

Indorama Ventures (Bangkok) says it plans to increase capacity for purified terephthalic acid (PTA) at the company's Rotterdam plant by 250,000 m.t./year. The project, due for completion in 2014, will raise Indorama's PTA capacity at Rotterdam to 600,000 m.t./year. It will also hike Indorama's overall PTA capacity in Europe to 792,000 m.t./year. The company's other European PTA capacity is at Ottana, Italy where it operates a 192,000-m.t./year unit.
