DSM Third-Quarter Profits, Sales Up

DSM has recorded a 28% increase in net profits to €182 million for the third quarter, compared to the same period last year. And sales for the quarter was up by 9% to €2.4 billion The operating profit increased by 27% to €267 million and this was achieved despite higher feedstock and energy costs of approximately €170 million and much lower currency exchange rates versus the Euro, DSM says.
