DSM Reports Big Fall in Quarterly Profits

DSM has recorded a 95% fall in second-quarter net profits, to €10 million, compared with the year-ago period. And sales for the quarter decreased by 20%, to €1.91 billion, compared to the second quarter of 2008. Sales in the second quarter, however, increased by 7% compared to the first quarter of 2009.
