The company is joining with food ingredients firm Roquette (Lestrem, France) to build a bio-succinic acid pilot plant at Lestrem to test DSM’s technology. Succinic acid traditionally is made from crude oil and natural gas. Claassen: Bio route can deliver economic and environmental gains.
