Akzo Likely to Move Up the Ranks in 2008

AkzoNobel ranks 19 in this year’s Billion-Dollar Club, with nearly $15 billion in sales, but the company is likely to move up next year as it consolidates sales from its £8.1-billion ($16 billion) purchase of ICI. The ICI purchase, completed last January, generated pro forma sales of $21 billion in 2007 and solidified its position as the world’s largest paints and coatings producer.
